Celebrating Hong Kong

Part of my job is to attend some events. This is good for the company image and also for finding and preserving partnerships. The latest of such was organized by an association helping the trade of Hong Kong. And it was perfect. It was held in the Buda Castle, and we were treated like kings. A really great jazz concert by some of the best Hong Kong artists, called the Eugene Pao Quartet (the bass player was excellent), and fabulous food. Of course when I found out there is seafood on the table, I left the Parma ham and the roasted veal tenderloin behind (after trying, of course) and enjoyed some prawns with a garlic flavored celery base and some squid with bamboo and ginger. We were also surprised with some gifts and a big book on the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong – China reunion. It was not only well organized but also very enjoyable, and made me really look forward to my first visit in Hong Kong – but that’ll take place only on my second China trip.
